Our Story
Double Tree Forest Products was born from the forest. Our parent company, Double Tree Forest Management, has been managing forests since 2006 — clearing land, maintaining forest health, and keeping communities safe from wildfire. The cedar we sell is a direct byproduct of that work.
Every piece of cedar we sell comes from fallen trees only. We never cut a live tree. It's sustainable forestry at its core — we take what the forest gives us and turn it into premium products.
Why Cedar?
We started selling cedar because we saw a gap in the market. Everyone was selling hardwood firewood — oak, hickory, maple — great for heating, but terrible for the fire pit experience. Small flames, no aroma, slow to light.
Incense cedar is the opposite. Bright, tall flames. A rich, warm aroma. Easy to light. Natural insect deterrent. It turns a fire from a heat source into an experience. Once our customers try cedar, they don't go back to hardwood for their fire pits.
